Claire Thomson-Jonville

Claire Thomson-Jonville is a Scottish born, Paris-based creative consultant, fashion editor, journalist and currently Head of Editorial Content for Vogue France as of January 2025. Throughout her career, she has envisioned innovative campaigns, editorial stories, product design and special projects with leading fashion and beauty brands that have placed women’s stories and feminine perspectives at their center. In 2020 Claire was appointed Editorial Director of i-D France, following her 10 year tenure at the renowned fashion publication Self Service where she served as Editor in Chief. Claire’s reputation for discovering and nurturing talent in the worlds of fashion, music and culture, ensures her position at the forefront of fashion and popular culture, covering editorial subjects that young people care about. Her innovative editorial approach promotes positivity, pushes boundaries, and rewrites the rules. Claire’s pared down aesthetic, cool attitudes, multi-faceted positive vision of beauty and fashion has made her a respected voice in the fashion industry where she is sought as a runway stylist and consultant. Strongly connected to both renowned fashion houses and mass market brands, Claire brings an insider’s eye to collaborative approaches whilst navigating between street style and couture cultures. Drawing upon her passion for wellness and active health initiatives in her daily life, Claire is the founder of OUT OF STATE, a 360° holistic health-focused global experiential retreat specially curated by Thomson-Jonville. Each event is carefully curated and focused on emotional and mental benefits of considered cultural programming and community-based events. Claire currently resides in Paris with her two children.
