GetModel — международный каталог модельных агентств. Здесь собраны профили агентств из Нью-Йорка, Парижа, Лондона, Милана, Москвы и других модельных столиц: состав, специализация, города и контакты для букинга. Каталог помогает и моделям — найти агентство для старта, — и брендам — выбрать партнёра для съёмки, рекламы или показа.
Модельное агентство представляет интересы моделей: ищет для них работу, ведёт переговоры с клиентами, помогает собрать портфолио и развивает карьеру. За это агентство берёт комиссию с гонораров — обычно около 20%. Настоящее агентство никогда не берёт деньги вперёд за «зачисление в базу» или «обязательную фотосессию» — это главный признак, по которому добросовестное агентство отличают от мошенников.
Чтобы начать, не обязательно сразу попадать в крупное агентство. Многие модели делают первые шаги через открытые кастинги и съёмки за тестовые кадры (TFP), собирают портфолио и только потом подписывают контракт.
