    Mar + Vin

    Marcos Florentino and Kelvin Yule form MAR+VIN, a São Paulo-based photography and creative direction duo. Together, they build a body of work that transcends conventional fashion imagery (each project is threaded through with memory, politics, and beauty as a form of resistance). Marcos is from Piauí, in northeastern Brazil, where he grew up in a small village and found in visual arts and books a portal to other worlds. His background in graphic design in São Paulo opened the door to an expanded practice that moves between photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, drawing, and painting (languages that continue to shape the duo's aesthetic to this day). Kelvin comes from the coast of Bahia, also in the northeast. He studied Social Communication and Journalism, directed his first short film while still in university, and developed a sharp eye for narrative (one that now appears in every editorial and campaign signed by MAR+VIN). After meeting in 2016, the two decided to join forces and form the duo in São Paulo. In 2023, they were included in the British Fashion Council's "New Wave: Creatives" list (among the 50 most innovative young creative talents in the world) and nominated for Best Fashion Photographer and Best Fashion Film Director at the Latin America Fashion Awards, a nomination that was repeated in 2025. In October 2025, they joined the BoF 500 by Business of Fashion, the definitive index of the people shaping the global fashion industry. In April 2026, they won the Photographer of the Year award at the FFW Brasil Fashion Awards 2025 (the most prestigious prize in Brazilian fashion). Around the same time, they photographed Bad Bunny for the cover of Vogue Brasil.
