Roos van Rij is a female fashion photographer & creative director known for her deeply intentional, emotionally charged, and female focused imagery. For over a decade, Roos has worked at the intersection of beauty, strength, and storytelling using her camera not only as a creative tool, but as a means of reclaiming the female gaze. What sets Roos apart is her unwavering commitment to photographing women. Her lens is a space of softness and strength, where femininity is not styled to please, but captured to express. Her work challenges the visual language of fashion and intimacy by proving that women can be sensual and serious, soft and powerful without compromise. At a young age, Roos found her voice in the world of visual storytelling and was trusted by major fashion houses to bring that voice to life. With a sensitivity that runs deep, and a vision that refuses to dilute, she has created global campaigns for brands such as La Perla lingerie, Intimissimi, The Kooples, Playboy, American Apparel, Groupe Chantelle, Nasty Gal, Fleur Du Mal and more. Her work has appeared in international publications and print such in Self Service Magazine, Vogue France, but more importantly it has made space for a new kind of female presence: one that is raw, radiant, and real. Roos believes photography is more than aesthetics it’s impact. It’s about creating visual echoes that empower, awaken, and challenge. Through her direction and lens, she builds worlds where women are not objects, but authors. Her mission is simple, but powerful: To make women feel seen, on their own terms.
