Stef Shiu (b.1988, Chinese-North American) is a composer and interdisciplinary artist whose practice merges sound, phenomenology, esotericism, gemology and material history to generate charged sensorial environments. Mining from esoteric traditions and historical epochs of spiritual inquiry, she employs candlelight, moments of transcendental realizations, mantras, gifted objects, sacred proportion and various metals to activate altered states of consciousness and the expanded perception latent within us all.
Her works serve as intimate vessels – architecture of perceptual and psychic recalibration – where personal ritual opens onto collective encounter and metaphysical restoration.
Through large-scale suspended installations and immersive environments, Shiu converts deeply personal gestures into shared spatial fields, inviting participants to navigate dynamically resonant zones that bridge ancient symbolic systems and material inheritances with contemporary demands for psychic and cultural repair.
