Four routes to the same result: post a casting and let working models apply, browse the directory and approach a model or her agency directly, search by photo when you already have a reference face, or assemble the crew — photographer, makeup, stylist — around the model you have chosen. Posting is free and every application lands in one dashboard.
Pick the route by what you already have: a brief, a look in mind, a reference photo — or a model already chosen who still needs a crew. All four end in the same place — a booked shoot.
When it fitsYou know the brief but not the face, or you need several options in one city on set dates.
How it worksPublish the project, requirements and dates. Working models apply with their portfolios and every application lands in one dashboard.
Post a castingWhen it fitsYou already know the look you want and would rather pick than sift.
How it worksOpen the profiles, check height, measurements, city and agency, then contact the model or the agency that represents her.
Browse modelsWhen it fitsYou have an image — a campaign frame, a runway shot, a mood-board face — and need that model or the closest match.
How it worksUpload the photo. Face search returns the model herself if she is in the directory, or ranked lookalikes if she is not.
Search by photoWhen it fitsThe model is chosen — or comes from the casting — and the shoot still needs a photographer, a makeup artist, a stylist or a retoucher.
How it worksBrowse the crew directory by profession and city, open the portfolios and send one request: we confirm the dates with every person on the list.
Assemble a crewDescribe the job, dates, fee and rights. Publication requires review; timing, replies and bookings are not guaranteed.
Casting publication is free during launch. Each client's first 10 confirmed deals carry no platform commission; later fees require an explicit agreed quote. Applications are not guaranteed.
Every applicant lands in a single dashboard — review profiles, shortlist your favorites, and book without the inbox chaos.
Cast locally or globally. GetModel reaches models in major markets and cities across Russia and beyond.
The model's fee is not the whole number. Below are day-rate reference points plus the two line items first-time bookers forget: the agency's service fee and the usage licence.
| Reference point | What it covers |
|---|---|
| $0–150 | A test or TFP shoot with a new face building a portfolio. Free-to-low fee, and you are trading images for time. |
| $200–500 | A new face's day rate once an agency books her — the usual entry point for e-commerce and lookbooks. |
| $500 / $1,000 | Half day and full day for commercial work in a major market, established model. |
| +20–30% | Agency service fee on top of the model's rate, charged to you as the client (the model separately pays 10–20% commission). |
| ×1–5 the fee | Usage or buyout: what you pay to run the images beyond the shoot — territory, media and term multiply the base rate. |
Bands are public industry reference points (Forbes, Backstage, agency-published rates) plus our own market-by-market breakdown. They are budgeting reference points, not a price list: the total depends on the city, the model's experience and the usage rights you need.
| Aspect | Direct | Through an agency |
|---|---|---|
| Who you negotiate with | The model. Faster, and the rate is the rate. | A booker. Slower, but she comes vetted and contracted. |
| What it costs | The model's fee only. | The fee plus a 20–30% service fee to you. |
| Who carries the paperwork | You. Release, usage terms and payment are yours to draft. | The agency. Contract, release and invoicing come as standard. |
| If someone cancels | Your problem, on your shoot date. | The board replaces the model, usually same day. |
| Best for | UGC, small e-commerce, tests, repeat work with a face you know. | Campaigns, anything with usage rights, anything involving a minor. |
Tell us the project type, location, dates and who you're looking for. It takes a couple of minutes.
Matching models see your casting and apply with their portfolios — applications start arriving right away.
Compare applicants in your dashboard, shortlist the right faces, and book them directly for your project.
These are the fields the posting form asks for. A brief with no date and no fee collects volume, not fit.
| Field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Project type and brand | Fashion, commercial, editorial, e-commerce, UGC or event. Models self-select on this line before reading anything else. |
| City and exact dates | A casting without dates reads as speculative. Say whether travel and accommodation are covered. |
| Who you are looking for | Gender, age range, height range, sizes if they matter, and the look in one sentence. Vague briefs draw volume, not fit. |
| Fee and usage | State the rate and where the images will run. This is the single biggest reason a good applicant does or does not reply. |
| What the day involves | Call time, hours, number of looks, whether it is studio or location, who is on the team. |
Get a model release, always
Without a signed release you own the photograph and not the right to publish the person in it. One page, signed on the day, before the first frame.
Write the usage down
Territory, media and term. "We'll use it online" is not a licence — and re-licensing later costs more than agreeing it once.
A minor needs a guardian
A parent or guardian signs and is present. If a model under 18 turns up alone, the shoot does not start.
Agree payment terms in writing
Rate, what it covers, when it is paid. Agencies invoice on terms; direct bookings are where a handshake becomes a dispute.
From runway to reels — post a casting for any kind of project and find models who fit the brief.
This is what an active casting looks like here — yours joins the same feed.
Four routes: post a casting and let working models apply; browse the directory and approach the model or her agency directly; upload a reference photo and get ranked lookalikes from face search; and once the model is chosen, assemble the crew around her in the crew directory — photographer, makeup artist, stylist. A casting suits you when you need options on set dates; the directory suits you when you already know the look.
Reference points: $200–500 for a new face's day, $500 for a half day and around $1,000 for a full day of commercial work in a major market; a test or TFP shoot can be free. On top of that sits a 20–30% agency service fee and a separate usage fee, which multiplies the base rate when the licence is broad.
Yes. Posting a casting is free and applications arrive in one dashboard, and the directory carries 1,264 profiles with height, measurements, city and agency so you can approach directly. You still need a contract and a release even when the introduction happened online.
Yes, if the images will be published. Without a signed release you own the photograph but not the right to use the person in it. Sign it before the first frame and write down territory, media and term.
Project type and brand, city and exact dates, who you are looking for (gender, age, height, sizes where they matter), the fee and where the images will run, and what the day involves. A brief with no date and no fee collects volume, not fit.
Direct is faster and cheaper — you pay the fee only — but the release, the terms, the payment and any last-minute replacement are yours to handle. An agency costs 20–30% more and gives you a contract, a release, an invoice and a replacement if someone cancels. If a model under 18 is involved, use an agency and a guardian.
