    Anatole Rainey

    After completing a history of art degree at University College London, Anatole Rainey moved to Paris to study French. Little did he know this pivotal move would impel his career as one of the most innovative and influential nail artists in the fashion world. After a nail technician friend asked him to assist her on the Versace Couture show she witnessed his natural skill and encouraged Anatole to pursue this new and unexpected path, mentoring him while he honed his talent. Today, Anatole is recognized globally as an artist who continuously pushes the boundaries of editorial nail design. His chic interpretation of modern nail art is the perfect balance of graphic and simplistic elegance. He has collaborated with leading photographers David Sims, Mert & Marcus, Tim Walker, Patrick Demarchelier and Willy Vanderperre. Anatole’s reputation for remaining calm under pressure has made him a coveted asset, keying shows for designers including Tom Ford, Burberry, Givenchy, Elie Saab, Roland Mouret, Peter Pilotto and Topshop Unique. His roster of star-studded fingertips include beauties Keira Knightley, Victoria Beckham, Cate Blanchett, Diane Kruger, Gisele Bundchen and Lady Gaga. He held the role of Dior’s International Nail Designer where he brought his many talents to the prestige brand’s ever-expanding nail line. Anatole divides his time between Paris and London.
