    Artu Nepomuceno

    Foremost a fashion photographer, Artu Nepomuceno has slowly cemented himself in the industry by way of shooting numerous fashion editorials and magazine covers for Vogue Philippines, Esquire Philippines, L’Officiel Manila, Tatler Asia, Glam Malaysia, and several others. His transition to advertising came as he explored shooting portraits and collaborating with Filipino creatives for authentic storytelling. Some of his clients to date are Louis Vuitton, Charriol, Jewelmer, Rustan’s, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Univers, Omega, Gingersnaps, and others. He has worked with brilliant Filipino designers such as Vania Romoff and Patty Ang. But it’s his work with New York-based non-profit organization, Waves for Water that has kept his love for photography grounded. Traveling as far as Mongolia, Honduras, Bhutan to Nepal and India, as well as countless provinces around the Philippines, it’s in shooting honest portraits and glimpses of locals’ daily lives that Artu is able to take part in building a narrative for the humanitarian mission of W4W. Aside from his work in and out of the studio, Artu has held several workshops both on-site and virtually in the last eleven years. He has done portrait training for the photographers of Great Image, style and signature searching through workshops with Nude Floor, and discussions on making photography a sustainable businesses in other platforms such as GetCraft. Artu also gives yearly portfolio reviews to emerging Filipino photographers. Since the pandemic, he started a series called "Light Notes", where he breaks down the technicality of his photo shoots with lighting diagrams and stories. Artu has been a guest to a number of podcasts discussing photography and his love for the craft. Recently, he was a judge and coach to emerging Filipino models in the first season of ModelRev. Artu is currently exploring his voice in the art space, launching his first series of fine art portraits in Art Fair Manila 2024.
