    Dfernando Zaremba

    Having begun his professional career in the motion picture and television industry, Dfernando organically segued first into the fashion photography industry as a Photo Art Director and Producer, then later as a Surfographer - shooting both photos and videos. He applies his industry known minimal aesthetic to all of his projects from fashion editorials, campaigns, surfing imagery, to celebrity portraitures featuring Oscar winner Kathy Bates, Wendi McLendon-Covey, to Jason Derulo. Bringing into his work visual references inspired from both surfing and fashion photography history, cinema, to pop culture, Dfernando produces all of his own projects - from creating concepts, directing, as well as filming and editing them. An avid surfer in his teens to mid-20s (circa 1980s to mid-1990s), Dfernando returned to his surfing roots in 2022 upon moving to Southern California after a 7 year residency in New York City. Though he primarily focused on his work in New York City as a Photo Art Director and Producer working alongside top fashion photographers, he decided on finally picking up the camera himself. Inspired by the work of legendary surf photographers from Jeff Divine, Art Brewer, Todd Glaser, LeRoy Grannis, as well as skateboarding photography legend Hugh Holland, and surf filmmakers Bruce Brown, Sonny Miller, Taylor Steele to Kai Neville, Dfernando now brings his established visual aesthetic onto various projects. He currently is the Photographer and Fashion Editor for West Coast Board Riders’ USBR Apparel and works on various photography projects and assignments for YÜTH Magazine. Dfernando Zaremba is based in Southern California
