I was born and raised in Salvador, a city where art pulses on every corner and in every everyday gesture. As a self-taught photographer, I discovered that images are a way to translate my emotions, my stories, and the way I see the world. For me, art only comes alive when it touches people's hearts and awakens feelings that go far beyond what is visible.
From an early age, I learned to admire the uniqueness and strength of Black skin, in all its nuances, and with a keen eye, I began capturing not just faces but entire universes, celebrating the diversity and complexity of the human experience. This personal journey led me to be recognized by the British Fashion Council | NEW WAVE: Creatives, when I was named one of the 50 global creatives in 2019. I had the honor of seeing my work featured on the covers of magazines like Vogue Brasil, Elle Brasil, and Glamour, as well as published in outlets such as DAZED, I-D, and Diet Prada.
In 2023, I felt immense joy when I was included in FLF THE LIST, a selection by @forbeslifebr that brings together 21 influential and transformative names in the art and fashion industries who truly make a difference in Brazil. This recognition reinforces the path I've chosen and inspires me to infuse my essence into every click, always seeking a genuine connection with people.
Beyond my commercial work, my passion finds expression in personal projects like Fronteiras Imaginárias, Ara Dudu, and Ojú Emí – Olhos d'Alma. These projects are my way of diving into identity, ancestry, and memory, where the real blends with the imaginary and the present engages in a dialogue with the past, shaping an introspection that is pure poetry to me.
My photography is the expression of who I am—a call to rethink beauty standards and to recognize the uniqueness of every individual. I invite you to see the world through my eyes, an outlook that strives to be ever more empathetic, inclusive, and, above all, human.
