    Holly Silius

    Holly Silius is a British-born artist, raised in the northwest of England before moving to London to study SFX makeup at the London College of Fashion. Silius’s interest in makeup was borne from her extensive background in fine-art. Her unique vision of imaginative and bold beauty has made her a highly renowned and well-respected international makeup artist in the world of fashion. The human form is a common theme in her work, a fascination which started from her training as a professional swimmer that she continues to explore in her sculptures and full body painting. Her immense talent has led her to work with a wide range of collaborators from established photography greats to the new generation of image-makers. Her ongoing collaborators include: Collier Schorr, Ryan McGinley, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Hugo Comte, Craig McDean, Annemarieke van Drimmelen, Hedi Slimane, Michael Bailey Gates, Juergen Teller and Jackie Nickerson. Her extensive roster of clients include, Prada, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent, Gucci, GAP, Adidas and Nike. Early on, she utilized her training in SFX by working in TV & film as well as the Royal Opera House of London. Having studied fine-art, she has produced various works in sculpture, 3D printing & wearable art. In 2016, she was invited to exhibit at Tate Britain in a group exhibit for “Late at Tate,” a series of interactive workshops and exhibited work. In 2011, she developed the brand, Shimmer Twins Treasure Lashes, a line of false eyelashes. The brand was an instant cult hit – selling out at various retailers. In 2012, she co-founded the jewelry brand H&H Body Adornment which quickly became coveted by Beyoncé, Madonna and other celebrities. Meanwhile, the brand collaborated with fashion house, Mugler, on a capsule collection for the 2012 fashions shows.
