    Joanna Schlenzka

    Born in Brighton, Joanna Schlenzka began her career in fashion after graduating from Edinburgh University and interning at British Vogue where she became Acting Fashion Assistant. After two years Joanna turned freelance when, after a period of assisting Carine Roitfeld, she was hired as Fashion Editor at Dazed & Confused. During her time at Dazed Joanna was made Senior Fashion Editor whilst regularly contributing to AnOther. After five years Joanna moved into a contributing position to focus on freelance work, with various projects since including guest Fashion Editor of Centrefold & Fashion Director of Mixt(e). Known for her timeless and colourful aesthetic in which she often draws on literature and folklore references, Joanna has collaborated with a number of photographers including Josh Olins, Boo George, Serge Lebon, Horst Diekgerdes, Daniel Sannwald, Tom Craig, Richard Burbridge and Karim Sadli. Past editorials include Dazed & Confused, AnOther, Vogue China, Vogue US, Vogue UK, Interview, Numero, Muse & Twin. Joanna has also worked on a number of shows across Fashion Week including Manish Arora, Osman, Felder Felder, Jenny Packham and Todd Lynn. Commercial clients include Valentino, Jaeger, William & Sons, H&M, L’Oreal, MM6 Margiela.
