    John Galliano

    Former creative director of Maison Margiela 2014-2024. John Galliano was born in 1960 on the island of Gibraltar and moved to south London at the age of six. Galliano graduated from St. Martin's College in 1984, and his French Revolution-inspired graduation collection was bought by Joan Burstein of Browns. In 1992, Galliano started to show in Paris, and in 1995, he was named the successor of Hubert de Givenchy. Four years later, he became the creative director at Christian Dior.
