    Julien Boudet

Born and raised in Sète, in the south of France, Boudet moved to New York City in 2008 after completing business school. What began as a hobby soon became a passion, leading him to study photography and art at Parsons The New School for Design in Manhattan. After two years, he dropped out to pursue a career as a freelance photographer. Following several seasons capturing street style and backstage at fashion weeks worldwide, he transitioned into fashion editorials, personal projects and campaigns, allowing him to fully express his creative vision. His connection to motorcycles is deeply personal, shaped by both love and loss. In 1992, his father tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident, leaving Boudet with an ambivalent relationship to the world of riding—both drawn to it and haunted by it. The thrill of acceleration, the adrenaline of sharp turns, and the art of control make riding more than just a pastime for him—it’s a way of life. Boudet is crafting a new visual language that merges Mediterranean influences with references to art history, hip-hop, and sports. His work explores the intersections of consumerism, technology, culture, and media, distinguished by a raw aesthetic and an authentic portrayal of his subjects in their own environments. He thrives on absurdity, sarcasm, and unexpected twists, often satirizing consumer habits and societal norms—taking inspiration from the golden era of humor and irony in 1990s French advertising.
