    Rita Skomrova is a Barcelona-based session hairstylist and creative director working internationally across fashion editorials, runway shows, and brand campaigns. She is brought in when hair must carry meaning through restraint – supporting concept and image without over-styling, and translating ideas into clear, production-ready visuals informed by contemporary aesthetics and cultural awareness. Her work is known for its effortless yet intentional quality: minimal yet emotionally charged, with a focus on texture, identity, and inclusivity. With over a decade of professional experience across hair and makeup and three years as a session hairstylist backstage at London, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks, Rita has developed a strong sense of visual storytelling and a calm, focused presence within high-pressure production environments. Today, she leads hairstyling for editorials and commercial productions, collaborating closely with photographers, stylists, directors, and brands to maintain narrative clarity and elevate the overall visual impact. Her work spans natural hair, wigs, and textured hair, approached with equal technical rigor and creative respect. She also continuously experiments with techniques and subculture-inspired references, keeping her work fresh, relevant, and influential. Rita is sponsored by Kevin Murphy and is the founder of Space L47, Barcelona’s first fashion-focused hair education hub, hosting workshops and advanced training for industry professionals. Multilingual in English, Spanish, Catalan, Russian, and Ukrainian, she thrives in international environments and adapts easily to cross-cultural collaborations worldwide.
