    Fashion stylist and creative consultant Stefania Chekalina works internationally from her base in New York City. Born and raised in Krasnodar, Russia, she holds a five-year degree in Civil Law. Stefania was introduced to avant-garde fashion at an early age by her mother, whose creativity and love for designers like Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, and Rick Owens deeply influenced Stefania’s aesthetic. Growing up in a home filled with fabric and vintage, her mother’s hands-on approach sparked Stefania’s interest in fashion history, which she further explored through her own online fashion journal. After working at Condé Nast International as first assistant to Vogue Hong Kong’s fashion director, she collaborated with leading stylists before forging her independent path. Since 2014, she has built a sharp understanding of visual storytelling, working across editorial, advertising, brand identity, and creative direction. Her work is defined by bold shapes, unexpected proportions, and strong narratives—an approach shaped by her avant-garde influences. She sees editorials as cinematic worlds, carefully constructing each frame from narrative to creative direction, character development to costume design. With a distinct vision and meticulous execution, Stefania creates imagery that captures attention and resonates, blending artistry with strategy to help brands craft compelling visual identities. EDITORIAL Chekalina's editorial work has appeared in numerous acclaimed publications worldwide, including Vogue Italia, Vogue Mexico, Vogue Czechoslovakia, Vogue Hong Kong, Vogue Ukraine, Laampoon, Shadowplay, Cap 74024, and Paper.
