    Tom Munro

    Tom Munro is a British photographer and director. Born in England 1964, he moved to New York in the early 90’s, studying photography BA at Parsons School of Design. Tom worked as an assistant to renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel, embarking on his own photographic career in 1997. After 20 years based in Manhattan, Tom returned to live in London in 2015, where he is now based. Tom’s fashion and editorial commissions have appeared globally for publications including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, V magazine, Vanity Fair and W magazine. Advertising clients have included: Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Elizabeth Arden, Givenchy, Guerlain, Hugo Boss, Lancôme, L’Oreal, Tom Ford and Yves Saint Laurent. Tom is well known for his celebrity portraiture, collaborating with Adele, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, Cate Blanchett, Dustin Hoffman, Eva Green, James McAvoy, Joaquin Phoenix, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Julia Roberts, Julianne Moore, Justin Timberlake, Kate Winslet, Keanu Reeves, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily-Rose Depp, Madonna, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Rihanna and Scarlett Johansson. Tom’s directorial debut collaborating with Madonna on music video ‘Give It 2 Me’ featuring Pharrell Williams in 2008, led to further film collaborations with Pops most iconic star including ’Die Another Day’, ‘Human Nature’, ‘Justify My Love’, ‘Turn Up The Radio’. Tom has also directed numerous films for commercials clients. Exhibitions : 2001 – Armani Guggenheim Group Exhibition. 2011 – “Tom Munro”, solo exhibition and launch of eponymous book in collaboration with Moet / LVMH and M.E.A.K.
