    Known for his work with Rihanna, Yusef has created hairstyles that have been featured on magazine covers, red carpets, world tours, and as part of Rihanna’s Savage Fenty shows and Fenty Beauty campaigns. He has also worked with other celebrities including Lizzo, Mariah Carey, Normani and Demi Moore. His looks are often experimental, architectural, and modern. Yusef is a Miami-born hair stylist based in New York. His career began with the exclusive world of couture working with brands like Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, Gucci, Christian Lacroix, John Galliano and Balmain. He is esteemed for creating iconic statement looks for global ad campaigns with Coach, Fenty and Dior, as well as editorial covers for Vogue, Dazed, W, Allure, Rolling Stone, T Style, Essence, and i-D, among other notable publications internationally. Yusef is recognized for his ability to sculpt hair to elevate and transform one's brand image. His artwork has garnered an in-demand celebrity following including Naomi Campbell, Bella & Gigi Hadid, Lizzo, Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Lily Aldridge, Duckie Thot, and Anok. He also is the pivotal force behind Rihanna's consistent transformations since 2009, taking lead direction for both Fenty x Puma and Savage x Fenty runway shows and numerous music videos. Yusef is also the creator of his own eponymous professional hair tool collection, The Y by Yusef, launched Spring 2020 to assist the masses to create their own editorial worthy looks at home. And in 2024 he became The Global Ambassador for Fenty Hair.
