Yom Alier Apollo is a South Sudanese curve model and the first African-based curve model to debut in high fashion. Born in a refugee setting, her rise from the margins to major runways is a story of strength and self-definition. With every appearance, she challenges convention and expands the vision of beauty in fashion.
She has since worked with well renowned brands walking for Valentino,Dolce and Gabbana.Campaigns such as Valentino portrait of a generation and is also seen on reputable magazines such as Vogue and L’officiel.
Apollo strives to inspire and uplift other curve girls from Refugee backgrounds,Africa and around the world, using her journey to spread motivation, representation and positivity.
