    Jill Demling is a casting director, brand consultant, and podcast host with over 25 years of experience at the highest levels of fashion media. She spent two decades working under Anna Wintour at Vogue, beginning as her assistant and rising to co-direct Condé Nast’s Talent Group, which she helped launch in collaboration with the New Business team—becoming the first to lead talent strategy across all titles. In that role, Demling was responsible for casting some of the most iconic covers and portfolios of the 2000s and 2010s. Wintour once said of Demling: “Jill has been an invaluable part of my Vogue team for the past twenty years... We will miss her enthusiasm, her extraordinary network of contacts, and her amazing sixth sense of knowing exactly what makes a Vogue story.” Demling has overseen casting for British Vogue, 72 Magazine, CR Fashion Book, GQ, Vogue Singapore, Vogue Hong Kong, and PLAYERS, and she continues to consult on global campaigns for brands including Graff, Tod’s, Ferragamo, Unilever, Equinox, and GAP. She also works closely on high-level event casting for clients such as Nita Mukesh Ambani and Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. In March 2024, Demling cast Edward Enninful’s landmark final cover for British Vogue—a 40-icon portfolio photographed by Steven Meisel and featuring Oprah, Miley Cyrus, Jane Fonda, Dua Lipa, and more. As she told The Washington Post, “You’re casting for the moment, but you also want to cast for the history books.” Known for her eye, humor, and discretion, Demling has long been a trusted advisor to photographers and editors alike.
