    Nagi Sakai

    Born in Tokyo/Japan and raised in Cairo/Egypt, Nagi Sakai's eclectic background lent him the opportunity to experience art in several cultures at a young age. His expertise and appreciation for creative expression and visual arts led him to the Dutch Institute of Art to study painting at the age 7. At 16 Nagi knew he was destined for photography after encountering famed Japanese photographer Naoki Ishizaka. Nagi spent several years perfecting his craft while assisting him for such clients as Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garcons, to name a few. Although he completed his academic degree in Commerce, Nagi's strict ambition brought him to New York in 2000 after signing on with his first agency representation. Emerging strongly on the scene, Nagi Sakai's talents have already been celebrated by such clients as WSJ, Cap 74024, Vogue Ukraine, Vogue CS, Vogue Spain, Cero Magazine,The Last Magazine, Love Want, CR Fashion book, Porter, GQ style, Gathering inspiration from the diversity of the arts, and fueled by his passion to express strength in beauty and sophisticated realism, Nagi Sakai's profession has rapidly become his career.
